A Look At The Brewers (3-1, 2-0 Liberty):
- The Brewers are 2-0 so far in the Liberty League with two wins in the fall season over Union College and Bard College.
- Junior Kate Christensen is leading the Brewers with a strong 9-2 singles record.
- Freshman Tara Edwards has also posted nine singles wins for Vassar this season with a 9-4 record, including being 1-0 on the season at the No. 1 singles spot.
- Sophomore Morgane Flournoy and junior Lauren DiFazio have had strong starts to their seasons at doubles, with 10-3 and 7-2 records, respectively.
- Vassar has started this season well, winning 63.5 percent of their singles matches and 91.7 percent of their conference singles matches.
- Senior Shayna Becker and Freshman Tara Edwards lead the team at the No. 1 doubles spot with a 3-1 record.
- At doubles, Vassar is currently undefeated in the Liberty League at 6-0. The Brewers have won 68.1 percent of their doubles matches overall.
- The Brewers were picked to finish second in the Liberty League preseason poll behind six-time defending Liberty League champion Skidmore College.
A Look at the Engineers (2-1, 0-1 Liberty):
- RPI is looking to bounce back after a 0-9 loss to Skidmore last Sunday to open conference play.
- In their last time out, doubles team Nisha Rajamohan and Mailani Neal lost a close match 6-8 to Danielle Giannetti and Jessica Ampel of Skidmore College.
- Freshman Allie Kalish has thrived in her first season, receiving her first Rookie of the Week honor during the fall season after reaching the quarterfinals of the ITA Northeast Regional. Kallish also received the Singles Performer of the Week honor after victories in matches over SUNY Geneseo.
- The Engineers went 2-0 in their fall team schedule, beating SUNY Geneseo in their last fall dual meet. Erica Frommer and Andrea Valencia led the team with a 8-1 victory at the No. 3 double spot, and freshman Allie Kallish led the team with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the No. 1 singles spot.
