POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (December 2, 2017) – The Vassar men's squash team lost two matches on Saturday falling 9-0 to both Bates College and Haverford College.
The Brewers played eight players in their match against the Fords, falling 3-0 in all eight of them. At the top,
Viraj Nadkarni played close games at 11-8, 11-4, 11-3 in the No. 1 spot.
Mathieu Rizk played right behind him, falling 11-8, 11-3, 11-7. Playing in the No. 3 today was
Alex Riccio who lost 11-1, 11-3, 11-2.
Vassar again had trouble in their match against the Bobcats in the afternoon, all eight Brewers fell 3-0. The top three spots remained the same, and in the fourth position
Caden Gruber dropped 11-0, 11-4, 11-2. At the fifth spot,
Isaac Stuart lost 11-4, 11-1, 11-2. In the sixth spot,
Milind Joshi fell by a score of 11-1, 11-1, 11-1.
Drew Hardin was the seventh player for Vassar, dropping 11-1, 11-3, 11-2. And in the eighth spot,
Andrew Solender fell 11-1, 11-1, 11-0.
The Brewers are off for nearly two months before they resume their season on January 20, 2018 when they host Brandeis and Siena at Kenyon Hall.
