MIDDLETOWN, CT (November 18, 2017) – The Vassar men's squash team lost both of their matches on Saturday playing at Wesleyan. The Brewers lost to the Cardinals 9-0 before falling in a tightly contested match against Bryant, 5-4.
Against the host school, Wesleyan, Vassar lost all of their matches 3-0. But they bounced back nicely to play hard against the Bulldogs.
The four Brewers wins came at Nos. 1, 2, 4, and 5.
Viraj Nadkarni played in the first spot, winning 11-2, 11-7, 11-5. At No. 2,
Mathieu Rizk won in three as well, 11-1, 11-3, 11-5. At No. 4,
Alex Riccio earned a 3-0 victory, 11-8, 11-9, 13-11. In the fifth spot,
Isaac Stuart had to fight hard for his win that went the distance. Stuart lost the first game, 8-11, before taking the next two, 11-6, 13-11. But after dropping the fourth game, Stuart finished it off with an 11-8 win.
Vassar's next matches are not until December 2
nd when they host Haverford and Bates College in Kenyon Hall.
