Last Time Out: The Brewer's came out on top in a great battle against Montclair State Wednesday night. Vassar pulled off a 1-0 upset against the No. 10 Red Hawks, marking their fourth victory over ranked opponents since 2013. Montclair outshot Vassar 10-5, but could not get past VC sophomore goalkeeper Paige Amico.
The Brewers have now totaled 350 minutes of shut-out game action. Vassar's senior forward Hayley Beach was strong out of the gate, posting a goal in the fourth minute, giving the Brewers a quick lead that remained untouched.

A Look At The Brewers:
  • Vassar has not allowed a goal since Kean University's OT victory on September 7—the Brewers haven't allowed a goal in five games, the first time in program history.
  • The Brewers have outscored their opponents 32-2 this season to date.
  • Freshman Cristina Lopez earned Liberty League Rookie of the Week honors tallying the second-most minutes played by a Brewer, posting two goals, three assists, and seven points for Vassar thus far.
  • The strong Brewer defense has held their opponents to .25 goals allowed/game, leading the Liberty League.
  • Paige Amico tops the league's goalies with a Save percentage of .913 allowing just 2 goals on 21 saves—this places her at eighth in the nation.
  • The Brewers look to snap a 33-game Liberty League road losing-streak.
  • Vassar leads the nation in both shutouts per game and goals against average.

A Look At The Saints:
  • The Saints won three straight before dropping the last two contests at the William Smith Tournament, losing 1-0 to Lebanon Valley and 3-2 to Manhattanville.
  • The squad's endurance is unquestionable, having nearly the same number of shots, goals, and saves respectively in the first and second halves.
  • Sophomore duo Lucy Stillman and Bailey Sherwin combine for 18 points and eight goals to date.
  • Senior Julia Hudson saved 16 shots on goal in the last contest against Lebanon Valley, making this her seventh career game with saves in the double digits.
  • SLU's Maggie Whelley leads the conference in defensive saves.
  • St. Lawrence's Lucy Stillman is fourth in the conference in goals per game at 0.83 goals/game.

Against St. Lawrence University All-Time: The Brewers are 3-15 all-time against the Saints. The Brewers have taken three of the last five after a 13-0 run by St. Lawrence. In 2014, the Saints pulled off a 2-1 OT defeat, just the second OT contest in their 15 years. Since 2010, the Vassar's outscored the Saints just 11-10 after a 56-8 run by St. Lawrence.

Next Up: Vassar will return home to take on the Hawks of Hartwick College next Wednesday. The Hawks will prove to be a tough non-conference opponent, as they currently sit at a record of 6-1. The game is scheduled for Wednesday, September 28th, with a start time of 4:00 p.m.
