WHITTIER, CA (March 13, 2016) – Three Brewers of the Vassar College men's tennis team secured wins in singles play, as the team fell 6-3 at Whittier College on Sunday morning.  

Nick Litsky notched the No. 1 spot with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Andrew You, Juan Felipe Laso claimed the No. 3 spot with a 7-6, 1-6, 10-7 victory over Sean Jardinico, and Nick Lee took the No. 5 spot with a 6-4, 0-6, 10-7 win over Tyler Linscott.

With those wins, Litsky improved to 11-4 on the season, Laso to 9-3 and Lee to 5-3.

Three total singles matches were decided in the super tiebreaker, showing the Brewers' persistence to keep fighting even after falling behind 3-0 in doubles.

With the loss, Vassar dropped to 4-6, while Whittier advanced to 1-4.

The Vassar men's tennis team concludes its double-header against Amherst College in Claremont, CA at 4 p.m.
