Last Time Out: In the first game of the Vassar Tip-Off Tournament, Vassar defeated Keuka College, 88-72. The Brewers then bested Lehman College to win the championship game, 69-65, putting them 3-0 on the season for the first time since 2008-09.

A Look At The Brewers (3-0):
  • The Brewers boast three captains this season in Mickey Adams, Jesse Browne and Alex Seff.
  • This is the final home game for Vassar before playing the rest of 2016 on the road. The Brewers will face two NESCAC schools during that road trip, facing Williams College and Wesleyan University before getting into Liberty League play.
  • During the game against Lehman , five Brewers scored double figures: Jesse Browne (19 points), Owen Murray (11 points, eight rebounds), Mason Dyslin (11 points, seven boards), Mickey Adams (10 points, six rebounds) and Alex Seff (10 points, four assists) led the scoring effort.
  • The Brewers shot 43 percent from the field, 40 percent from the three-point line and a whopping 65 percent from the free throw line in the victory over Lehman.
  • The Vassar men took advantage of Lehman's 17 turnovers to add 14 points to their score.
  • After a stellar performance over the weekend, the Liberty League honored Alex Seff with Performer of the Week accolade. Seff already has 64 points on the season after only three games. The sophomore captain also leads the Brewers with 18 total rebounds.
  • Alex Seff's 34 points against New Paltz in the season-opener are tied for the second most in a single game in school history. The guard shares the honor with Ed Pittman, who poured in 34 against Bard in 1981.
  • The Brewers look to improve upon the 2015-16 season, in which they finished 12-14 overall and 8-8 in conference play with a trip to the Liberty League semifinals.

A Look At The Privateers (1-2):
  • The Privateers look to build off their 8-17 season last year, their best record since 2009-10.
  • Junior center Patrick MacDonald has been a force in the paint in the first three games, averaging a double-double with 20.0 points and 10.7 rebounds.
  • The Privateers are coming off back-to-back losses in the Max Ziel Tournament to Oswego State and Elmira College.
  • Maritime's second-half surge against Elmira fell just short, as Matt Davis blocked Patrick MacDonald's potential go-ahead layup with three seconds left on the clock.
  • The Privateers opened the season in a shootout 85-83 win over Lehman, led by Patrick MacDonald's 27 points and 13 rebounds, and senior guard Brendan Halligan's 18 points and six assists.
  • Maritime's lone underclassman starter Malik Clark and senior Tim Hoch join Brendan Halligan in the backcourt, averaging 6.0 and 7.0 points per game, respectively. Junior forward Isaiah Hayes rounds out the starting five.  He posted a career-high 25 points in the Privateer's loss to Oswego, and he averages 17.6 points and 7.3 rebounds for the year.
  • Isaiah Hayes has also been active on the defensive end, posting five steals and four blocks.
  • This is one of two remaining non-conference matches for Maritime, as it kicks off Skyline play against Purchase on the first day of December. The Privateers managed to go 8-12 in conference last year.

Against Maritime All-Time: The Brewers are 8-10 against the Privateers all-time, dating back to their first meeting in 1989. In their most recent meeting, Vassar came out with a 68-51 win on the road.

Next Up: Following Tuesday's game, the Brewers will head to Rochester to face Elmira College on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m.
