Last Time Out: In a heart-breaking overtime penalty, the Brewers lost 3-2 to Hobart College last Saturday. Juniors Alex Gonzales and Jose Novas found the net, both earning their fifth goal of the season. Goalkeeper Matt Marcelino faced six shots, making three saves throughout the game. 
 
A Look At The Brewers (9-3-2):

• Alex Gonzales earned a spot on the Liberty League Honor Roll for the second week in a row for his performances. To land on this week's Honor Roll, Gonzales notched a pair of goals, including a game-winner, in the Brewers' 1-1 week. The full release can be read here.
• Vassar sits tied for second in the Liberty League standing with 10 points, alongside RPI (5-6-3, 3-2-1). Hobart (7-5-3, 4-1-1) stands atop the standings with 13 points.
• Vassar currently ranks second in the Liberty League with 86 points on 30 goals and 26 assists.
• The Brewers have outshot opponents 236-146 overall and 105-58 in shots-on-goal. Twenty-six assists have helped lead to 30 total goals.
• Vassar has scored significantly more goals after the break, totaling 11 in the first half and 19 in the second.
• Thirteen different Brewers have found the back of the net, displaying their offensive depth.
• Mattie Mrlik paces the Brewers with 17 points (five goals, seven assists), which is tied for the most points that anyone has collected in the Liberty League, alongside Union's Andrew Fontaine and RPI's Devon Baughen. Mrlik has tallied a point and an assist in three games so far this season, and has collected at least a point in nine of 14 games so far this season. 
• Three different Brewers have found the back of the net five times: Mattie Mrlik, Jose Novas and Alex Gonzales.
• Goalkeeper Matt Marcelino has been solid in the cage, registering 42 saves for a 8-3-2 mark, including three clean sheets. Fellow keeper Will Marment has also spent time in net, starting one game and playing in three for a 1-0-0 record.
• The Brewer defense has been stifling, shutting out five teams so far in Mount Saint Mary College (Sept. 4), William Paterson University (Sept. 10), Elms College (Sept. 11), New Paltz (Sept. 14), Elmira College (Sept. 20) and RIT (Oct. 14).

 
A Look At The Yellowjackets (8-1-3):

• The Yellowjackets went undefeated through the first nine games of the season before suffering their first loss on Oct. 8 at the hands of University of Chicago. Since then, Rochester has beaten Carnegie Mellon University 3-2 and has tied with Case Western Reserve University 1-1.
• Of the 12 games so far this season, Rochester has posted five shutouts.
• This season's team has already seen a large improvement from last year's squad. In 2015, the Yellowjackets finished 6-5-5 overall and 1-3-3 in conference play.
• The Yellowjackets have outshot opponents 151-85 overall and 84-41 in shots-on-goal. Fifteen assists have led to a total of 24 goals.
• Rochester has shown an ability to capitalize on given opportunities, finishing on both penalty kick attempts.
• The Yellowjackets have scored significantly more after the break, totaling nine goals in the first half, 14 in the second and one in overtime.
• Jeff Greblick leads the Yellowjackets with 11 points on four goals and three assists. Two of his goals were game-winners.
• Helping on offense have been Mitch Volls (tied for team-leading four goals) and Bryce Ikeda (tied for team-leading three assists).
• Patrick Conway has been Rochester's primary keeper, making 30 saves for an 8-1-3 mark, including five shutouts.

 
Against Rochester All-Time: Vassar and Rochester have played each other once before. In 2003, the game ended in a 1-1 draw in Rochester, NY. 
 
Next Up: Vassar will conclude its five-game homestand, hosting Union College on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 3:30 p.m. Following that meeting, the Brewers will hit the road for the regular season finale, facing the Bard College Raptors on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m.
