What To Look ForThe Brewers look to turn a corner Saturday after dropping their past four matches. They were unable to end 2015 on a high note, falling to the Camels of Connecticut College, 0-9, on Dec. 5. Prior to that, the Brewers went 0-3 in November, with 0-9 losses to New York University (Nov. 7), Dickinson College (Nov. 14) and Haverford College (Nov. 14). The Brewers' most recent win came against Siena College, who the Brewers bested 9-0 on their home court back in October.
A Look At The Colgate Raiders (3-2)The Raiders of Colgate College are a club squash team that competes in the Intercollegiate Squash Rackets Association, mostly competing against varsity programs. They started this season with three straight wins, beating Ithaca College, Swarthmore College and Lafayette College. The Raiders have dropped their past two contests by a combined score of 17-1 against Hamilton College and Bard College, but they look to get back on a winning path this weekend.
Against Colgate University All-TimeThe last time the Brewers took on the Raiders was in 2012 when they lost 8-1. The lone win of that contest came from current senior
Timothy Veit. A much more experienced Brewers roster, composed of five seniors who competed the previous time these two teams met, looks to avenge that loss on Saturday.
A Look At The Boston University Terriers (2-2)Like Colgate, Boston University is a club squash team that competes against varsity programs in the Intercollegiate Squash Rackets Association. Similarly, this club is not covered by the athletics website and thus contains limited stats and records. While having competed in 10 contests this season, the Terriers' website only shows four results, including losses to Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Tufts University and wins against Boston College and Northeastern University.
Against Boston University All-TimeThe Brewers and the Terriers most recently competed back in 2012 with the Brewers picking up the win, 8-1.
Winter WoesThe Brewers come into this weekend having dropped their past four contests by a composite score of 36-0. The squad looks to turn things around and pick up their first individual and team win since Halloween 2015.
Up NextThe Vassar College men's squash team will next compete in the Liberty League Championships in Canton, NY on Saturday, Feb. 6. At this time, their opponents are undetermined.
