Seniors Samantha Schapiro and Ava Sadeghi made quick work of Sara Bjork and Gianna Heaviland at No. 1 doubles, winning 8-0.

A Look at St. Lawrence
The Saints have had a highly successful 2014-15 campaign, carrying a 15-4 overall record and 5-1 Liberty League mark into Saturday's match. St. Lawrence is currently ranked 37th in the nation and 14th in the Northeast region, and had a five-match win streak snapped on April 22 in a dual match with Northeast No. 19 SUNY-Geneseo.

Saturday's match will serve as a preview of the first round of the Liberty League Tournament, as the two sides can finish no worse than the three seed or better than the No. 2 spot. Elkie Vandenbeemt has been the team's No. 1 singles player for the majority of the season, holding an 18-6 overall record and 9-4 mark in dual matches. Vandenbeemt has teamed up with Morgan McNeal to play No. 1 doubles as well, with the pair going 12-4 overall and 4-0 in conference matches.

Thank You Seniors!
Vassar's Samantha Schapiro and Ava Sadeghi will play in their final home match Saturday afternoon as the Vassar women's tennis team celebrates senior day. The pair will finish their Brewer careers as two of the most accomplished players in recent memory, as the duo have combined for four ITA All-America honors while posting a 39-9 record as a doubles team.

Last Meeting:
The teams last met in dual match action on April 27 of last season at the Liberty League Championships. VC earned a 5-2 victory over the Saints, winning two of three doubles matches while Schapiro, Emily Hallewell (Washington, DC/Stone Ridge Sch. Scared Heart) and Winnie Yeates (New Orleans, LA/Isidore Newman School) all tallied singles victories to secure the team win.

Up Next:
Vassar will travel to the Reis Tennis Center at Cornell University for the Liberty League Championships May 2-3. VC's opening round match time is TBA.
