HAVERFORD, PA (November 14, 2015) – The Vassar College men's squash traveled to Haverford College Saturday for a tri-match with the host Fords and Dickinson College, falling 9-0 to both teams in action from the GIAC Courts.
Dickinson 9, Vassar 0In the opening match of the day for the Brewers, VC (1-4) was unable to earn a match from the Red Devils. Sophomore
Andrew Patton (Barrington, RI/Barrington) was pretty competitive at No. 8 Saturday, falling 11-6, 11-4 and 11-6, while
Tim Boycott (Mbabane, Swaziland/Waterford) dropped a 11-6, 11-3 and 11-5 decision at No. 5.

Richard Bryenton (Knoxville, TN/West) battled at No. 9, falling 11-6, 11-4 and 11-4. Senior captain
Juan Fernandez (Colonia Chimalistac, Mexico/United World College Costa Rica) was defeated 11-4, 11-2, 11-4.
Haverford 9, Vassar 0In the nightcap, the Brewers were unable to match the strong depth of the host Fords, falling in all nine matches for the second straight contest. Sophomore No. 1 player
Vincent Mencotti (Birmingham, MI/Brother Rice) started his match strong, picking up an emphatic 11-4 win. His opponent Nathan Vestrich-Shade rallied for a 12-10 win in game two to even the score at a game apiece.
In the all-important third set, Vestrich-Shade was able to get the serve and hold it, earning an 11-6 victory to take a 2-1 lead. In the final game, Vestrich-Shade played a strong set in earning the win with an 11-4 victory. Senior
Timothy Veit (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Warde) pushed Peter Dudley at No. 2 early in the match, but fell in three games with scores of 11-6, 11-9, 11-0.

The Brewers are off until Saturday, December 5, traveling to New London, CT to take on Connecticut College at 2:30 p.m.
