A Look at the Brewers
The Brewers (11-5, 4-1 Liberty League) fell 8-1 to nationally-ranked #13 and regionally-ranked #5 Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Saturday afternoon during Senior Day at the Josselyn Tennis Courts. Junior Samantha Schapiro (Milford, NJ/ Rutgers Preparatory School) and freshman Shayna Becker (Murrieta, CA/University) had the only win for the Brewers, playing in the No. 1 doubles spot. The duo earned the upset victory over the #7 team in the Northeast Region, Lauren Quisenberry and Julia Hsu 8-3. Schapiro and Becker are #14 in the region with a record of 7-4.
Becker battled in the No. 6 singles spot, but fell to Vynnie Kong in two 6-4 sets. On the season, Emily Hallewell (Washington, DC/Stone Ridge School Sacred Heart) has the most singles wins with a record of 16-10 and plays primarily at the No. 2 spot. Becker and Yeates are sitting with the second and third most wins with 12-8 and 11-11 records, respectively. Overall, the Brewers are 83-60 in singles, with a .580 record.

#4 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Emily Aaldenberg and Vassar's Lauren Stauffer (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) both are undefeated in the No. 4 singles spot with records of 4-0. Anna Young of St. Lawrence sits in third place, also being undefeated, but with a record of 3-0.

St. Lawrence has two players sitting in first and second places who are undefeated in the No. 5 spot. Rachel Plevinsky and Zoe Valella follow with a 6-2 spot while William Smith's Arsenault and Nicoletti have put together an 8-3 résumé.

St. Lawrence's Arroyo has teamed with two other Saints for a combined record of 5-0 and she is part of the first and second No. 3 doubles teams in the Liberty League. #6 Union College's Hayley Lough and Margaret Oppenheim are 6-1 at No. 3 as well.
