Shayna Becker (Murrieta, CA/University) had the only win for the Brewers, playing in the No. 1 doubles spot. The duo earned the upset victory over the #7 team in the Northeast Region, Lauren Quisenberry and Julia Hsu 8-3. Schapiro and Becker are #14 in the region with a record of 7-4.
Becker battled in the No. 6 singles spot, but fell to Vynnie Kong in two 6-4 sets. On the season,
Emily Hallewell (Washington, DC/Stone Ridge School Sacred Heart) has the most singles wins with a record of 16-10 and plays primarily at the No. 2 spot. Becker and Yeates are sitting with the second and third most wins with 12-8 and 11-11 records, respectively. Overall, the Brewers are 83-60 in singles, with a .580 record.
