What to Watch For:
Vassar (1-5) has struggled out of the gate this season, but has an opportunity to pick up a pair of wins this weekend against Tufts (1-4) and Fordham (2-3). There are still many matches left in the season and a couple victories this weekend could help put the Brewers on the right track going forward.

A Look At The Jumbos
Tufts' lone win this season came against a strong MIT team on November 18th. Aditya Advani is the Jumbos' top player and currently has a singles rating of 5.18. The next-highest rated Jumbo is Zachary Schweitzer, with a rating of 4.90. As a team, the Jumbos have an average singles rating of 4.23 and have five players rated 4.50 or higher.

A Look At The Rams
Fordham's most recent match was a 4-5 loss to Haverford on November 22nd. The Rams are 2-3, but have dropped their last two matches in a row. The Rams have two players rated higher than 4.00; their highest rated player is Kincade Webster, who has a rating of 4.62.

Last Time Out
The Brewers went 1-3 at the Liberty League Championships, picking up an 8-1 win over Bard College. The Liberty League Championships proved to be a veritable gauntlet, with three of the Brewers' opponents ranked in the top 30 in the nation.

Mounting A Comeback
Sophomore Vincent Mencotti (Birmingham, MI/Brother Rice) saw a perfect 5-0 season come to an early end last year after suffering an injury, but he has returned to lead the Brewers this season. He has posted a 5-4 record and is the top-rated singles player on the team, with a rating of 4.75.

Team Effort
Ten different players have contributed at least one singles win so far this year. In addition to Mencotti's five wins, Tim Boycott has four wins and Noah Kulick (Cambridge, MA/Beaver Country Day) has three wins.

Council of Elders
The Brewers have no freshmen on the roster this year. There are six sophomores, two juniors, and three seniors.

Empire Bound
The Brewers are set to play 17 matches this season, but only four of the 17 will come outside the state of New York, with three set to happen at the CSA Team Championships in Hartford, CT February 20-22.

Up Next
The Brewers will take the rest of 2014 off, returning to action January 24 at Haverford College in Haverford, PA.
