ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY (October 29, 2014) – Senior diver
Kelly Wilkinson (Oceanside, CA/Vista) was among the top performers for Vassar in its first action of the season Wednesday evening at Bard College, posting a combined score of 402.65 in the women's 1 meter diving event. The mark broke the Vassar School record of 395.70 in the 11-dive 1 meter category, set back in 2013 by Christine Musket. The result stands as an NCAA provisional qualifying score, giving Wilkinson a highly-promising start to the 2014-15 campaign.
"It was great to see how well we competed today, especially since it was our first meet of the season," said head coach Lisl-Prater Lee. "There have already been some exciting results, and our fan and parent support tonight helped foster that environment for us. To see how well we were supported for an away meet was awesome."
Senior
Olivia Harries (Temple Terrace, FL/Lee Academy) also posted quality results in the 125-47 dual meet victory over the Raptors, as she took first in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:11.56. Harries also had the top time in the women's 500 yard freestyle at the meet, finishing in 5:32.26.
Elizabeth Balter (Mount Kisco, NY/Fox Lane) took home a pair of first place finishes, winning the 100 yard backstroke (1:06.47) and 50 yard freestyle (26.88) to help pace the Brewers.

Milee Nelson (Champaign, IL/University Laboratory),
Anna Kuo (Floral Park, NY/Townsend Harris),
Zoe Fullerton (Los Angeles, CA/Palisades Charter) and
Julia Cunningham (Yardley, PA/Peddie School) posted the top time in the 200 yard medley with a mark of 2:01.52. The team of Harries, Balter,
Emily McDaniels (Chapel Hill, NC/Carrboro) and
Leah Pan (Oakland Gardens, NY/Hunter College) took the top time of 1:50.24 in the 200 yard freestyle.
The Vassar swimming and diving teams will be right back in action this coming Saturday, November 1 when the squads travel for a dual meet with New York University. The meet is slated for a 1:00 pm start.
