ROCHESTER, NY (May 3, 2013) – The #2 Vassar College women's tennis team defeated Liberty League #7 Union College, 5-0 in the quarterfinals of the League Championships hosted by Rochester Institute of Technology on Friday evening.
Vassar swept through the doubles matches. The Brewers were led by the No. 1 pair of sophomores,
Ava Sadeghi and Sam Schapiro. The pair did not give up a single game in their 8-0 triumph over Dee Dee Gaudian and Kate Collins. Junior

Kelsey Van Noy gave up only one game against Camille Ertel and Mary Pinkston for an 8-1 win.
The Brewers will next take on St. Lawrence University during tomorrow's semifinals at 2:00 pm.
After Van Noy claimed Vassar's fourth point with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Pinkston at the No. 6 singles, freshman
Lauren Stauffer gave the Brewers the go-ahead with a 6-1, 6-0, match-clinching point against Ertel.
All four other singles matches were one set ahead of their competition and winning in the second set.

Winnie Yeates for an 8-4 win at the No. 2 doubles over Lauren Main and Hayley Lough.
