Men's Squash Ends Season With 3-2 Record At CSA Team Championships

NEW HAVEN, CT (February 24, 2013) – The Vassar College men's squash team ended their 2012-13 season with a bang as they finished 3-2 at the CSA Team Championships at Yale University, Sunday afternoon.

Despite an early, 7-2 first round loss to Ithaca College on Friday, Vassar went on to beat Siena College, 6-3 and the University of Minnesota, 6-3 on Saturday and defeated the University of Illinois-Springfield, 8-1 on Sunday. The Brewers fell to the University of Notre Dame on Saturday, 7-2.

Senior No.1 Jake Harris won four of his five matches this weekend. Harris's only loss came to Minnesota's Tarun Nambiar, 12-10, 11-5, 18-16. The third set was Harris's longest set of the season.

Junior Kiet Phun ends the season with the best win streak, winning his last three matches. Timothy Veit, Michael Iselin, David Garfinkel, Juan Fernandez and Daniel Doctor all end the season with win streaks of two.
