GENEVA, NY (April 28, 2012) -- The Vassar College men's tennis team advanced to the Liberty League Championship semifinals with a 5-0 win over the No. 7 seed Union College on Saturday at Hobart's Bristol Field House.

Vassar swept doubles and picked up two quick singles points to clinch the victory, played to decision.

The No. 2 seeded Brewers (13-9) will play the winner of No. 3 Hobart and No. 6 St. Lawrence on Sunday at 2:00 pm.

At No. 1 doubles, Andrew Guzick and Ben Guzick, ranked No. 1 in the ITA Northeast, cruised 8-1 against Dan Nault and Joshua Fields. Dan Freeman and Josh Kessler blanked Andrew Schwartz and Grant Zaccareo 8-0 at No. 2 doubles.

In singles, Kessler topped Zaccareo 6-1, 6-0 and Andrew Guzick bageled Nault 6-0, 6-0 to close out the match.
