LOS ANGELES, CA (March 5, 2012) -- The Vassar College men's tennis team went down 2-1 after doubles and dropped the bottom four singles matches in a 6-3 loss to Occidental College on Tuesday at McKinnon Family Tennis Center.

The Brewers (7-3) face the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) No. 4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Thursday, March 8, at 2:00 p.m.

Brothers Ben Guzick and Andrew Guzick rolled 8-1 over Jordan Brown and Jeremy Shapiro at No. 1 doubles but Vassar dropped the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to go down 2-1 at the break.

The Brewers picked up two wins at the top of the order as Andrew Guzick defeated Kevin Siebs 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1 and Ben Guzick cruised 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Occidental clinched the match with wins in the bottom four positions.
