WHITTIER, CA (March 12, 2012) -- The Vassar College men's tennis team picked up a pair of wins at the top of the lineup but fell 7-2 to Whittier on Monday at Richard Ettinger Tennis Courts.

The Brewers (7-6) concluded their Spring Break campaign and dip into Liberty League play against St. Lawrence on March 24 at 2:00 at home followed by Rochester Institute of Technology on March 25 at 2:00 p.m.

Vassar went down 2-1 at the break with a win by Andrew Guzick and Ben Guzick over Patricio Carregha and Julian Seneviratne 8-6 at No. 1 doubles. The Brewers mustered one point thereafter as Andrew Guzick topped Seneviratne 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 at No. 1 singles.
