Men's and Women's Squash To Play Connecticut College at Yale Saturday

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (December 7, 2012) – The Vassar College men's and women's squash teams travel to Yale University in New Haven, CT to play Connecticut College on December 8 for the final matches of the semester.

Men vs. Connecticut College: 12:00 pm, Brady Squash Center

Women vs. Connecticut College: 12:00 pm, Brady Squash Center

Vassar Men's Notes: Last weekend the Vassar College men's squash team dropped all their matches to New York University (9-0), Colgate University (8-1), and Wesleyan University (9-0). The Brewers are now (1-8).

Freshman No. 9 Timothy Veit technically got the only win for the Brewers as he won by default against Colgate's Stephen Merwin.

Vassar Women's Notes: Last weekend the Vassar College women's squash team lost their first match of the weekend to the University of Virginia (3-6) on Saturday.  On Sunday, the Brewers defeated Smith College 8-1 in the Wesleyan University Round Robin before losing to the host institution 8-1.  The Brewers are now (4-4).

Libby Pei got the win for the Brewers against Wesleyan in the No. 1 spot over Wesleyan's Grace Zimmerman (11-9, 11-9, 11-8).

Connecticut Men's Notes: The Connecticut College men's squash team lost all their matches last weekend against Trinity College (0-9), Geroge Washington University (0-9), Colby College (4-5), and Brown University (0-9). The Camels are now (1-6). The Camels swept the Brewers (9-0) in their last match-up.

Connecticut Women's Notes: Last weekend the Connecticut College women's squash team dropped all four matches toTrinity College (0-9), George University (0-9), Colby College (0-9), and Brown University (0-9).  The Camels are now (1-6). The last match up between the Brewers and the Camels resulted in a close (5-4) victory for the Camels.

Coaches: Vassar is coached by Jane Parker now in her 13th season. Connecticut is coached by Chris O'Brien in his second season.
