POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (November 21, 2010) -- The College Squash Association (CSA) No. 4 ranked University of Rochester won its fourth straight Liberty League Championship with a sweep of Vassar College on Sunday at Kenyon Hall.
The Brewers (1-6) face Amherst on the road December 1 at 7:00 p.m.
The Yellowjackets won their third match of the tournament, also defeating St. Lawrence University 6-3 and Hobart College 7-2 en route to the Liberty League Championship. The top six players for Rochester went undefeated in tournament play.
Vassar sophomore and Liberty League Co-Performer of the Week,
Jake Harris put up a fight at the No. 1 position against Rochester's Andres Duamy as he took the third set 11-7. Duamy closed out the match 11-3, 11-9, 7-11, 11-4.
St. Lawrence swept Hobart on day two to claim second place. Hobart finished third and Vassar took fourth.
