Vassar College Athletics

Stephanie Ricker, a 2006 graduate of Grand Valley State University (GVSU) with a B.S. in General Psychology, enters her second season as the Vassar College men’s and women’s varsity club head rowing coach. Ricker is currently working towards an M.S. in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Barry University.

A USRowing level 2 certified coach, Ricker brings nine years of competitive coaching experience to the programs. Prior to Vassar, she coached at the Saginaw Rowing Club, Bay City Rowing Club, Bay County High School, and the Detroit Women’s Rowing Association. She coached the GVSU Rowing Intramural squad from 2002-06 and worked as an assistant for the GVSU novice rowing team in 2004-05.

As a competitive rower, Ricker competed one season for Division II Barry University and four years for the GVSU Rowing Club. She rowed one year for the Detroit Women’s Rowing Association and competed four years for Bay City Central High School. During the Summer from 2006-09, her Bay City Rowing Club team tallied seven first place finishes at the Michigan Club Invite.
