Complementing his program-first Liberty League Rookie of the Year selection, Vassar College baseball's Mike Perrone continued to garner accolades for his impressive freshman season, as he was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-New York Region Third Team.
Out of the 50 total players selected to the First, Second, and Third teams, Perrone was one of just two freshmen and one of just nine player who were not juniors or seniors. Perrone was one of 11 Liberty League players chosen out of the 40-team New York Region. The last time Vassar had an All-Region selection was in 2005, when Kristaps Aldins, an '05 graduate and the league Player of the Year, was named to the NCAA All-Region team.
