For the second time this academic year, Spangler won an ECAC Championship. At the ECAC Championships at Springfield College, Spangler used a potent kick in the last 400 meters of her 10000 meter race to claim the championship with a 36:21.89 time. Spangler used a 75 second final 400 meter kick to edge into victory in a field that featured 21 runners.  Earlier this year, Spangler captured the ECAC Cross Country Championship.
