Recovering from shoulder surgery that kept him out of the fall season, Szymanski muscled in a crucial try against the University of Albany on Saturday. The senior's score helped ice Vassar's 18-10 win.

"Tom worked tremendously hard to get back into shape following his surgery, so it is great to see his hard work pay off," said head coach Tony Brown. "Not only that, he's doing everything he can to help the future of the program by playing in a new position this spring, having moved from center to wing so that we can work on our line-up for next fall."
