At the Liberty League Track and Field Championships on Saturday, sophomore Johanna Spangler won the 5,000m in a dominant performance, winning by nearly 18 seconds and setting a new league mark with a time of 17:41.57, breaking the 2001 record of 17:54.52 by Kate Nelson of Hamilton. Spangler will compete in the 5,000m at the prestigious Penn Relays on Thursday.
