Pitching in his home state for the first time in his collegiate career, the sophomore southpaw dazzled against Caltech as he allowed no runs and only two hits while fanning six over eight innings to lead Vassar to a 5-0 win over the Beavers. The start for Spencer tied for the second-longest in Vassar history allowing no runs, while the two hits allowed in a start of eight innings or more were the fewest ever in program history.
