Shannon Schrope had her best weekend as a Brewer at the 2018 Seven Sisters Championships, as she earned three All-Seven Sisters accolades while posting the meet's lone "B" cut qualifying time in the 100 breaststroke. Schrope started the meet by helping the 200 free relay to a victory with a time of 1:41.75, and then finished fourth in the 200 IM with a season-best time of 2:19.78, before taking fifth in the 50 yard free with a time of 25.74. Schrope helped Vassar's 400 yard medley team to a second-place finish with a 4:08.81, but then busted out for the rest of the meet. Schrope hammered the old Seven Sisters and Vassar College records by tossing up a 1:04.88 in the 100 breast to chalk up the nation's 19th fastest time in the event this season. Schrope's time was over four seconds faster than the Seven Sisters record of 1:09.05, and over two seconds faster than the previous VC school record. Sunday finish swept the breaststroke events with another win, this time nearly topping the Seven Sisters record with a 2:23.98, just 0.21 seconds off the previous mark. She then would finish the meet by helping Vassar to a second-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay to finish the meet. Â
