White had another stellar weekend for Vassar, as the freshman swam in a team-high eight different events on Friday and Saturday at the 2017 Don Richards Invitational. White started by helping VC to a second-place spot in the 400 medley relay, swimming the opening backstroke leg in 53.92, as VC led after the first stroke. White returned to the pool Saturday for the 200 medley relay, helping Vassar win the event by .07 seconds over host RIT with a 25.85 split to start the race. White would go on to win the 100 butterfly minutes later with a 53.45, winning by over a second. White wouldn't waste time as he was right back in the pool to take second place in the 200 freestyle, just missing the top spot as he was just out-touched at the wall after swimming a 1:47.17 for a season-best time. In the evening session, White was back at it refreshed and it showed, as the standout newcomer for VC earned yet another victory in the 200 backstroke with a huge school record time of 1:57.99, over four seconds faster than his previous season best. In the final swim of the day, Vassar finished strong with 32 points in the 400 free relay, highlighted by the efforts of White to finish third with a 3:18.12 after his 47.10 anchor split.
