Johnson batted .467 over the first four games of the season, as Vassae went 2-2 with splits against Fitchburg State and Plattsburgh State. Johnson was 7-for-15 with a double and homerun, driving in a team-best five runs while slugging .733. Johnson posted three hits in each end of the doubleheader against Plattsburgh, going 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI and a homer in game one, followed by a 3-for-4, two-RBI effort.
