Senior men's basketball student assistant Johnny Mrlik had two of the best seasons for a men's basketball player ever at the College, but his career ended prematurely due to injuries after his sophomore campaign. Mrlik scored 829 points in his tenure at Vassar, but took to the floor one last time on Senior Day this past Saturday against RIT. In an amazing moment, Mrlik caught the ceremonial tip-off, and unexpectantly heaved a half-court shot towards the net. The shot, not surprisingly, went in and brought the crowd to its feet while he exited the court to his familiar coaching seat with a cartwheel.
