Senior Darienne Jones helped lead the Vassar College women's rugby team to the USA Rugby Division II Final Four this weekend, as the Brewers knocked off Coast Guard Academy 37-0 Saturday before outlasting Bowdoin College Sunday in the Round of 8 15-10. Jones was stellar on defense all weekend lone, setting the tone with some big hits, but was great offensively as well. Jones posted a pair of tries in the Round of 16 game against Coast Guard, and followed that up with two more tries against Bowdoin Sunday in a defensive battle. The Brewers now move onto the Final Four December 5-6 in South Carolina, as they will play Winona State (MN), while Davenport (IA) and Bloomsburg (PA) will compete in the other semifinal.Â
