The race of the day Saturday for VC individually though may have come from sophomore Jesse Schatz, who powered through the 8k to finish with a personal-best time of 26:48.2. The time marked the first time this season Schatz has finished in the top seven for Vassar, but it was expected as he was coming off the best two weeks of training he's had at Vassar. Schatz's previous personal-best before Saturday for an 8k was 27:30.
