Ava Farrell started her senior campaign off right this past week, as she paced the Brewer women's cross country team in both races to start the season. Farrell was the individual winner at the New Paltz Season Opener on Tuesday, as she took down the field of 21 racers with a time of 11:42.9 over a two-mile long course. At the Ron Stonitsch Invitational Saturday morning, Farrell gutted out a 10th-place finish to again lead VC, running a time of 19:41.2 over the 5k course.
