Harries had her best weekend of swimming as a member of the Brewers, as the senior from Temple Terrace, FL closed out the week Saturday by breaking her own school records in the 1,000 freestyle and the 1,650 freestyle. Her time of 10:44.40 edged her previous record of 10:44.94 in the 1000 set last season, while her mark of 17:31.48 in the 1650 freestyle smashed her program-best 17:49.53 set in 2014. The mark was good for third overall in the field, while also qualifying as an NCAA B cut mark.
Earlier in the week, Harries broke a 20-year old Vassar College record in the 500 freestyle, swimming a 5:08.30 which bested the 5:10.73 set by Anya Bailis back in 1995.Â
