Sophomore Anthony Walker had a very strong week in the pool for the men's swimming and diving squad, though the team dropped a pair of highly contested meets. Walker against Montclair State picked up a pair of wins, his first coming in the 200 fly with a season-best time of 2:58.66. He followed that up with a 500 free win, racing the event for the first time this season and taking the top spot by over 15 seconds. Walker also helped VC to a 200 medley relay win with a season-low 1:40.25.Â
Saturday against Roger Williams, Walker continued his strong swimming, as he won both individual events he raced in. He took the 200 butterfly with a 2:00.45, later earning a win in the 100 fly with a 54.54. Walker then helped the 200 medley relay to a first-place finish with a 1:40.47.Â
