Mazzuca topped all of the runners from the Liberty League during the 10,000 meter run at the ECAC Championships at RPI. The last League opponent he had to pass was Jesse Coull of Union College. The freshman Brewer edged out a near-four-second victory over the Dutchman, posting a time of 32:03.85. The time was good enough for an overall finish of third, just three seconds behind Coast Guard’s Gary Ezzo (32:00.57). Johns Hopkin’s Max Robinson cruised to a win with a 31:49.90.
