Elam Coalson continued to progress into one of the best sabre fencers for the Brewers, as he posted a 12-2 afternoon at the Cleveland State Invitational. Coalson earned wins in the first 12 bouts he fenced on Saturday, including earning three wins against host CSU and the University of Florida. He also was undefeated against Detroit-Mercy, Wayne State and Case Western Reserve, winning two bouts in each match. Coalson is now 30-16 in sabre this year, this only his second competitive season with the weapon.
