Lovizio went the distance in the seven inning win against RPI, 6-4 on Sunday afternoon. In his seven innings, he gave up five hits and four runs with three of them being earned. What was impressive was the nine strikeouts he got against the No. 3 team in the Liberty League. Lovizio set a season high for most strikeouts in a game. Out of the other three games in the RPI series, no pitcher got close to the nine strikeout mark and no two or three pitchers combined for nine strikeouts in one game. Lovizio is 2-1 on the season.
