Nichols got her first collegiate career start and her first collegiate shutout in the 3-0 win over Rutgers-Newark. She has played in two game prior to last Wednesday's game for a total of 67 minutes. Nichols played all 90 minutes and recorded four saves. She faced 16 shots. Two of her four saves looked like Rutgers-Newark would surely get the goal, but Nichols covered every inch of the goal.
