Mitchell came off the bench just 29 minutes into the first. Minutes later, he had the chance to put the Brewers up 1-0 against visiting SUNY New Paltz off a penalty kick. Instead of powering the ball past the keeper, Mitchell faked right causing the keeper to dive, then he sneaked the ball into the lower left corner. Mitchell ended playing the remainder of the game and managed to keep the New Paltz defense on their heels as he got off two more shots in the 3-1 Vassar win.
