Parks led the Brewers to three straight Liberty League wins, in addition to scoring 15 points with six assists in a must-win game against William Smith that clinched a playoff berth for the second straight year. With her 15 points against William Smith, Parks became the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,543 points. Her milestone broke a record that had stood since 1996. For the week, Parks averaged 12.7 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 5.0 apg.
This is her first Liberty League Performer of the Week honor this season and the 12th of her career. Last season, Parks earned D3hoops.com All-East First Team honors, 2011 Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year honors, and Liberty League First Team honors. The 2009 Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Year and Liberty League First Team selection, this is her third straight Performer of the Week award and her ninth weekly award this season. She was twice named ECAC Upstate Player of the Week.
A 2008 graduate of Escondido High School, Parks lettered four years in basketball. As a freshman, Parks was the Rookie of the Year, and named to the 3rd Team All-Avocado League as a sophomore. She was 2nd Team All-Avocado League in her junior and senior seasons, as well as captaining the team her senior year. Her team finished first in the Avocado League two years.
