Lisa Monaco was named the interim head coach of the Vassar women's golf team in August of 2019.
Monaco comes to Vassar from Beekman Golf Course in Hopewell Junction, NY, where she has served as a course professional since June 2013. She was also the assistant girls golf coach at Wappingers Central Schools.
Prior to those experiences, Monaco was a golf professional at Escena Golf Course in Palm Springs, Calif., from 2009 through 2013. Her experience has also seen her serve as a summer golf camp director for the town of East Fishkill, as well as golf pro at Westin Mission Hills in California.
Monaco, who is a PGA of America Class A Member, earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Marist College in 2000. She also owns an AAS in Computer Science from Dutchess Community College.
In addition to her PGA membership, Monaco is also a United States Golf Teachers Association (USGTF) Teaching Professional. Additionally, she is certified by the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA).
