Mike Pomares has been on the sidelines as a part-time assistant coach after serving as a volunteer assistant during the 2010-2011 season for both the men's and women's teams. Coach Pomares will assist with the day-to-day operations at practices and during competitions he will be responsible video and statistical breakdown.
Pomares has been playing volleyball since 2000 and is a member of the GEVA Region. In 2006, his team won a bronze medal in the Empire State Games (Masters Division). Currently, Pomares works as a Scan and Print Technician for G. Schirmer, Inc.
“I am excited to have Coach Pomares on our staff," said head coach Rob Wolter. "His familiarity with the UVC and his experience with statistical input will be very beneficial as we prepare for upcoming matches and tournaments.”
Pomares studied Philosophy & Religion at Ithaca College and received his Bachelors degree in 1991.
