Danin assumed the role of assistant coach for the Vassar men's and women's swimming & diving teams in January of 2021. He also serves as the aquatics manager of Kresge Pool.

Danin came to Vassar following a nearly three-year stint as the assistant swimming & diving coach at Liberty League-rival St. Lawrence University. With the Saints, he helped build sustained success, including an 11-3 dual meet mark over the past two seasons by the women's team.

In addition, Danin served as the aquatics manager for SLU's Augsbury Pool, monitoring the daily operation. He also hired and trained a large staff of lifeguards, while maintaining an extensive inventory. Danin also assisted in game management for the Saints, while serving as the director of St. Lawrence's Intramural program.

Before arriving at SLU, Danin served for two years as the head swim coach and lifeguard supervisor at the Northport Yacht Club, leading a group of over 145 athletes between the ages of 5-18. In addition to creating workouts and training program, he also hosted meets, while also coordinating all management of the pool facility.

Danin also spent seven years as a coach for the Islanders Aquatics, where he coached a number of athletes to top-30 results at the NSCA Junior Nationals. Several athletes he worked with also achieved national recognition in their age groups and respective events. Administratively, he coordinated meets, hiring of officials and a broad range of other duties.

A 2016 graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego, Danin earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. He then completed a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from St. Lawrence in 2020.

Danin also holds a number of certifications, including ASCA Coaching and USA Swimming Foundations of Coaching Levels 1 and 2.
