Vassar women’s soccer head coach Corey Holton announced that Steven Domino would join her staff as the team’s goalkeeper coach for the 2015 season. Domino comes to Poughkeepsie fresh off a successful career as a goalie for SUNY-New Paltz.

Domino was a three-year starter for coach Gene Ventriglia and the Hawks, holding a .735 save percentage and 1.74 goals against average in 39 career games. Domino’s 186 career saves ranks fourth all-time in program history, while his five career shutouts is tied for fourth on the all-time list.

He was a two-time ECAC Upstate Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week and SUNYAC Defensive Player of the Week throughout his career, while helping the Hawks advance to semifinals of the SUNYAC tournament in 2012. Domino led the SUNYAC in saves per game in 2014 with 5.08.

Domino was also involved with New Paltz Athletics off the soccer field, serving as an intern for the strength and conditioning program and the athletic director. Domino graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from New Paltz in 2015.
