Kelsey Yam was named as an assistant coach at Vassar during the summer of 2015. Yam is no stranger to the Liberty League, as she comes to Poughkeepsie after two years as a graduate assistant coach at Clarkson University, following a successful four-year career at Skidmore College. Yam also earned her Masters of Business Administration in Global Supple Chain Management from Clarkson.

As part of the Clarkson staff, Yam helped the Golden Knights to their best conference season in school history, while helping with recruiting, on-field instruction, fitness, academic performance and scouting of upcoming opponents. Yam has also had coaching experiences with the Seacoast United Premier SC and Blackwatch Premier Soccer Clubs.

Additionally, Yam has been part of the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar, while also participating in Uganda with the Soccer Without Borders program in the summer of 2012, helping to raise money for underprivileged kids worldwide while coaching soccer and teaching classes to children and young adults aged 5-to-20.

Yam, a native of Longmeadow, MA, is a graduate of Skidmore College with a degree in Management & Business and a minor in Mathematics. She played for four seasons with the Thoroughbreds, gaining all-conference status on three occasions, as Skidmore compiled a 38-26-9 record during her four seasons with the program, including a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances (2009, 2011).

A midfielder and defender, Yam scored 15 goals and eight assists for 38 points in 73 games, including 69 starts. She was a Liberty League First-Team all-star as a sophomore and junior, gaining NSCAA Division III All-East honors in 2011, and was chosen as a Liberty League Second-Team honoree in 2012.
