Marice Love was named assistant coach of Vassar men's and women's rowing team in the winter of 2016. After receiving her BS in environmental science, she worked for The New York Botanical Garden while attending The NYBG Landscape Design Program. In 1996, she founded a landscape design and build firm in Westchester County, NY. Marice is a longtime masters rower and for 12 years was Head Coach and Varsity Girls Coach for a scholastic rowing team in Poughkeepsie, NY.
During her tenure, the team grew from a roster of 16, one coach, one 8+ and one donated launch to a very strong and winning team of 60 + rowers, four coaches, four 8+’s, four 4+’s and a launch for each coach. The strength of the program was evidenced by the success of the team on the local and state level, and by the increasing numbers of rowers who went on to DI, DII and DIII rowing programs in college. In 2013, Marice joined Row New York as Director of their Expansion Initiatives and Masters Coach. She currently serves as Executive Director and President of Hudson Valley Rowing League, Inc.
