2018-19: Strong senior season, finishing the year 70-25 in foil… Went 18-0 at the Nov. 11 Vassar Invite and then was 11-2 at the Matt Lampell Invite on Nov. 18… AT the Northeast Conference Multi-Meet on Feb. 9 was 14-0 with victories against UMass, Boston University, Smith, Wellesley, and Sacred Heart… Finished 14-5 at the EWFC Championships and was named a Second Team All-Star… Placed eighth at the NEIFC Championships.
2017-2018: Blumenstock boasted a 43-22 record in her junior season fencing foil…first competed for the Brewers this season January 28
th at Boston College as she was abroad for the first part of the season…opened the season with victories against MIT, Tufts, and BC with a 10-5 total…was third in foil at the NEIFC Championships…finished 23
rd overall in foil at the NCAA Northeast Regionals competition as the lone foil competitor for VC.
2016-2017: As a sophomore, Blumenstock led the foil squad, finishing with a team high 89 wins for an overall record of 89-47. On both February 11
th and 19
th, posted 17 wins and just four losses….Also a very impressive day early on in the year (Nov. 20), going 18-3 with four 3-0 finishes. In total, shut out opponents (3-0) 16 times.
2015-2016: Began fencing career at VC with a nice freshman campaign, with an overall record of 49-45. In second competition of career (Nov. 22) finished 9-2 on the day, with big victories over Drew, Queens, LIU, and Yeshiva. Finished the season on a high note on Feb 14 going 12-6, defeating CCNY, Yeshiva, JHU, and Haverford.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was the fencing captain as a junior and senior at Nova Classical Academy...D-rated fencer, earned and renewed with three top 16 finishes at Div II North American Cups... Individual MN High School State Champion in 2014, and four-time Squad State Champion, captaining the team for two seasons.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Claudia and Gerry Blumenstock...has three brothers, Nathaniel, Noah and Owen...urban studies major.
