2020: Played in seven games, starting six… Led the team with eight runs and was third with six hits… Hit .333 for the season… Went 1-of-2 against Scranton (2/23) with two runs, one triple, one RBI, three walks, and one stolen base… Was 2-of-3 in the win over Rivier (2/29), going for three runs and one RBI… Hit a home run against Cazenovia (3/12) with three runs, two RBI, and three walks.
2019: Rebounded from missing the entire previous season to lead the Brewers in most statistical categories… All-Liberty League Second Team… Started 37 of 38 games… First for Vassar with 51 hits, 25 runs, 28 RBI, and 12 doubles… Batted .349 for the season… Also hit three home runs… Tallied 16 multi-hit games… Hit two home runs against Clarkson (3/30) including a grand slam… Seven game hitting streak from 4/7 to 4/20.
2018: Missed the entire season due to injury.Â
2017: The freshman corner infielder had a great season for Vassar at the dish, as he hit .320 in his first year...was named as a Liberty League first-teamer at third base, becoming VC's first position player Liberty League first-team honoree in five years...started 32 times, seeing action in 33 games, going 32-for-100 with nine doubles and 20 runs scored...homered twice as a freshman...walked 17 times...his four sacrifice flies, third-most in a season at Vassar...third on the team in hitting...successful on both of his stolen base attempts...had six games with two or more hits...was 2-for-3 against Fredonia in his first contest as a Brewer...went 3-for-4 with a double April 2...had an eight-game hitting streak during the middle of the season...was 2-for-4 with two runs and a walk against RPI April 22...was 1-for-1 with two RBI, two runs and three walks along with his first career homer against Union April 15...saw action in four games on the mound, posting a 7.20 ERA, allowing four earned runs in five innings.Â
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a standout for the Friars of St. Anthony's High School in South Huntington, NY...named as the team MVP as a senior, while earning All-League and All-Long Island Second Team accolades...voted as the Nassau-Suffolk Catholic High School Player of the Year...hit .417 with three HR, 26 RBI, 27 hits and an OPS of 1.246...helped team to a League runner-up finish as a senior...earned St. Bonaventure Award for GPA over 94.5 all four years...played travel ball for the Long Island Padres...also lettered in basketball.Â
PERSONAL: Parents Greg and Barbara Martino...has one brother, Nick (19)...majoring in economics...chose Vassar over Villanova, Bentley, Tufts and Marist.Â
