2025: All-UVC Second Team....Played in 87 sets over 26 matches....Recorded 143 kills, fourth best on the squad with a .337 hitting percentage....Tallied 1.64 kills per set....Registered a career-high 13 aces....Ranked second on the team in total blocks with 72 with 17 being solo....Averaged 0.83 blocks per set....Buried 10 kills against SUNY New Paltz (3/26)....Tallied a career-high nine total blocks against Nazareth in the UVC Semfiinals (4/12)....Landed a career-high three aces against SUNY New Paltz (3/26)

2024: NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team....Played in 100 sets over 30 matches....Buried a career-high 178 kills, third-best on the team, with a .384 hitting percentage....Recorded 1.78 kills per set....Registered a career-best 11 aces....Led the squad with a career-best 79 total blocks with 16 being solo.....Averaged 0.79 blocks per set....Third on the team in points with 236.5....Recorded a career-high 14 kills against #12 Cal Lutheran (1/13)...Garnered six blocks three times this season against #15 Messiah (1/27), Kean (2/10) and #13 Nazareth (3/1)....Landed two service aces twice against Kean (2/10) and #RV MIT (2/17)

2023: The sophomore middle blocker saw action in important games this season for the Brewers. Akoto played in 12 matches appearing in 29 sets where his biggest presence was felt with the block numbers he put up. Akoto had 28 total blocks good for 0.97 blocks per set good for third on the team. In addition to that, the offensive side on his game improved from last year putting up 58.5 points good for 2.02 per set. His best performance came against Nazareth (2/25) where he had an overwhelming impact with 10 total blocks in a 3 set match. 

2022: The freshman middle blocker played a crucial role as a reserve player. Akoto played in 11 matches appearing in 27 sets with 53.5 points and 40 kills good for 1.98 points and 1.48 kills per set. In addition to scoring, he hit an efficient clip of 42.7 good for second on the team. His best performance came against Elms (3/30) where he had 11 kills hitting a percentage of 61.1.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Three-year varsity member of volleyball team and two-year varsity basketball at Argo Community High School... 2021 and 2018 volleyball season MVP.

PERSONAL: Parent is Jana Gera... Decided on Vassar because "It was the best option to propel my academic and athletic career."
